Pellet testing with the Zoraki HP 01

Thought, since I have been housebound cuz of the ice and snow for several days, I would amuse myself and find out what pellet my Zoraki .177 pistol liked best. I was not surprised when it shot the Meisterkugeln well as most of my lower powered guns do. But it also loved the Beeman Silver Bear Hollow points. The Beeman's shoot well in a good portion of my lower powered pistols which in the past surprised me but not anymore as it happens quite often. No love for the Gamo Match or either of the H&N pellets though.

Even though this was only at 10 meters this should give some of you a good starting point anyway. Now to find them on the net and stock up will be my next important task. Don't know what I would do without this addiction as of late I think it is the only thing that is keeping me sane. 👍 for the addiction.

Good info.

I've shot thousands of H&N Match Greens (non-lead) through my Zoraki Ultra in my 10m basement range. They seem to hit pretty much where the barrel was pointing when the pellet left the muzzle (which isn't always where I'm aiming of course). One pump sends them 460fps and they punch nice round holes. I've ordered some of the non-lead Daisy pellets (they're much cheaper) and will try them out.

I watched a video a while back on the Zoraki pistol , They took a spring out or adjusted something on the gun where it would hold four pumps, Seems in stock form the gun will just dump the air on the 4th pump,,, If I remember right it bumps the FPS a smidge on the 3ed pump..

If I ever find a 22 caliber in stock I plan to buy one,, Or know someone that will take a deposit...

Looks like a good day for Silver Bear and Meisterkugeln not far behind.

It was mentioned that it could be tweaked to accept a fourth pump, good enough, but I think shooting at one or two would be a big part of the attraction, for ME.

In the target pictured above how many pumps or did you vary?

10-4 on The Addiction my tensioned shroud for the Artemis PP700SA has kept me busy for a few hours in the shop, Thank God.

I would not be using four pumps as it will likely stress and stretch the plastic at the pins. It can go to three pumps and that is more than enough for me.

I used two pumps on this test. Cuz the targets tear badly with one pump not so much with two.

I agree with the three max! It's beauty was that it requires so little effort to take a shot, at least to me. I have inquired about a Daisy 853 and that's definitely a one pumper perfect for fly swatting in the back yard.
