Pellet Speed Obsession

In all my pellet rifles I need 900 FPS. I can't stand 899. When I get my rifles to 900 then I am satisfied. If they are still accurate I will take them a lil higher. Probably do just as good slower, but that is just how my caveman mind works. 

Some say that the top speed of diablo pellet shape is 950 fps, over that is too much and the pellet get destabilized... not really sure about that but sounds about right 

I shot the 18gr JSB at 980fps one day through the slug liner.....1/2" group at 50yds and no wobble.

I didn't try it any further.

Ernest has shot them well over 1,000fps accurately to 75yds I think.

So is BS! jajaja that was one of my first wanna be "gurus" on airguns a few years ago, I still remember his words: "The terminal velocity of a diablo pellet shape is 950 fps "

SmoothTwist X might make a difference. Some have said with regular ST, if you shot the pellet too fast it would skid through the short section of rifling instead of being grabbed and spun properly.

Now with full length rifling may no longer be an issue.
