What’s everyone’s preferred pellet for hunting small game? I have to hand it to the H&N sniper magnum. No matter what rifle I’m using springer Or pcp it’s a literal nail driver. Good expansion in small game as well.

In the .22 springer I hunt with I have found the H&N FTT 14.66 gr. to be my go to pellet. Very accurate and consistent. In my .22 cal PCP I have experimented with the JSB EXACT Jumbo 15.89 gr and the Air Arms Diabolo Field 16 gr. I have just recently narrowed it down to the Air Arms Diabolo Field 16 gr. Super accuracy and have been dropping game quick and clean for me.

I've been pleased with the price point of the Crosman magnum domes in 14.3gr out of my Brocock Commander Hi-Lite. Since owning it I've taken... 13 or so squirrels and I want to say it was in Mar 2019 when I purchased it. The wind will kick them around side to side a bit but nothing too crazy. I've taken squirrels at 100 yards (clean kills) but they really seem to excel at 50-60 yards. A few days ago I took a rather large grey squirrel posted up behind an oak presenting just the head and shoulder and it entered and exited through the shoulder (lung->heart->lung) dropping it instantly.

What I've found is find a pellet your gun likes and stick with it. Practice with it. Then, in any condition or range, you know exactly how it's going to behave and you can hold over, turrent click, etc and you know how it will fly.

CPDs are $9.59/box from AGD and after you couple in the buy three get one free and free shipping over $100 you can pick up 6,000 pellets for $84. No excuse at that point not to be practicing with 'em and using 'em against those pesky tree rats :)

A very true statement, indeed. 👍 H&N needs to add an  H to the FTT designated pellets. Field Target Trophy Hunting. They do the job nicely.
