I use the plastic organizer tool boxes from Home Depot, similar to what Staight Shooters uses for their assortment kits. 

I found out the hard way it is best to glue in the dividers to avoid cross mingling.

Yeah, I agree with using organizer boxes. I use them for long term storage and they work great. Flambeau or Plano boxes with removable dividers work well for different, pellets, head diameters, weights, calibers etc... For the stuff I use often, I sort them by weight, put them in empty JSB tins and throw them in a range bag.

Ooops, I thought you meant storage of your full tins... I understand the divider setup now, absolutely... My ammo cans keep any oxidation of the pellets stored too long...

Greenarrow, that's great... I have about 4-5 of those laying around the garage for all my leader material. I'll give it a try and see if I like.

I've been using an Ammo Can and putting the pellets in rectangular Altoids tins. It works, but the Plano fishing line box looks so much better. I'll give it a try today!

Genius on the Plano fishing line holder. I only shoot one gun at a time so I have no issue with them being stacked in my safe and grabbing whatever tin I need. Then again I don't need to go to a range to shoot.

My current situation: Generally speaking, I have a select type of pellets that I mostly shoot in .177 & .22. This little Plano box has 5 spots. I simply keep them filled right from the tins & select the one I need from it. It’s rare that I need a different one, in which case, I go to the garage and grab what I’m looking for. 

I've kept the stockpiles in boxes and use smaller Pelican cases for mobility. Started using these after I had a mess in my vehicle from a cheaper container that broke in transit..

This is my jumbled corner of the shop where I keep my airgunning stuff. I keep pellets stored in the ammo cans on the floor. Each caliber has its own can.





For individual guns that have accessories, I use these plastic containers. I keep a tin of its favorite pellets handy, a log book, magazines and any other small parts/tools that may be needed. When I grab a particular gun I grab its “box” and I have most everything I will need right there with me. I shoot at home so if I forget something it’s ok, I’m close.

This is a great (and cheap) container as well Home Depot HDX 30 Compartment Double Sided Parts Organizer.

The latches are nice and tight (though I still wrap Velcro around the handle just in case) and the dividers are solid. Dividers stay in place and press against the lid when closed so they don't move. -Dave
