Pellet Lube

When i got my first PCP (2010), i read a number of articles, i think they were on Pyramid Air's site. One article was about using pellet lube. I don't remember the author of the article, but at the time he was a very respected shooter/contributor to articles and blogs etc.

So i bought the ingredients to make his recommended lube and have been using it ever since with Marauder .177, .22 and now .25 with good results.

All three guns are totally stock and have been very accurate.

I did a searched on this site and noticed that many here use a lube that works for them some are now commercially marketed.

What I have been using since 2010, the PA article, is a mixture of 1/3 STP and 2/3 Hopps gun oil.

Some of the pellet tins come with a foam packing in the tin, I put about 10 to 12 drops on the foam, cover the foam with just enough pellets for about a layer, and then as i add pellets to that tin, rub them around lightly on the foam.

I think the article is still on Pyramid Air's web site.
