pellet gauge and i sized pellets with it

almost no pellets I sized were the size on the tin. some were close such as barracuda match.. for example said 4.52 on tin.. half were 4.51 and the other 4.52
some tines of aa 8.4 grain were 4.51 on tin and sized to 4.44 and another tin of the same kind were 4.52 on the tin and sized to 4.51 and 4.50.

so there is no consistency hardly or any thing.

Yes! the Barracuda Match were the best for me also head sizing wise , all were 4.51 and 4.52 in the can marked 4.52 but they just don't group like the correct size 4.52 JSB's sorry to say. They have a much different shape! I found some 13.34 JSB Beast tins that were all 4.52 as marked that work well for indoors (bench rest shooting) but I am trying to build up a stockpile for next years Field target shoots but not having much luck!! the 10.34 is my pellet of choice for that as I shoot the Hunter class at 20 Ft.Lb. I will probably have to settle for them it's looking like so far!! It really made me laugh when I submitted my post and saw yours from just a few minuets before!!! I have been going to post on this for a couple of weeks but haven't done it till now. You beat me to it!! Ha Ha! P.S. The weight variation is widespread also but at the distances we shoot in field target ( 55yd). I don't think its as big of deal as the head size at least in my testing so far!!
