Pellet Compensation Scope?

Guess I'm going the very inexpensive route. Sig gives a free pellet compensation turret with the new sig scope I just picked up. Spent the morning over the chrony.

The major issue I am having is average temperature required for them to match the turret. They ask FPS at muzzle, average temperature, ballistic coefficient, weight of pellet, elevation, etc..... I shoot from 30 to 90 degrees farenheit, so guess I'll have to have it set for my most favorable shooting temps....

May I ask what scope you got would like to take a look at it.

After destroying a Vortex scope (granted it lasted over 6,000 rounds atop my gun), I decided to pick up a cheap scope to allow me time to research what i might want. Sig had a special, and for $134 shipped i got their Whiskey3 ASP scope. So far, I'm impressed with the clarity and performance. They throw in the ballistic turret for free, so figured I'd get it.

I was looking at the vortex, how does the turret work on the sig what exactly does it do?

The turret on the Sig scope does exactly what field target shooters have been doing for years. It is labeled with yards in addition to clicks so you can dial for elevation after you range the target. You can get those labels made for any scope after you work out the trajectory yourself.

This. But it's nice because its free, and the turret is professionally done and etched with the numbering. I dont think I'd get it if I had to pay for it, I guess that would depend on the cost.

...and I'm not complaining about the vortex. I'm still using one on my Diana 48 with no issues, and this one had over 6,000 rounds on the asp20 and worked flawlessly. Stuff happens, and I know they'll make it right.
