As many probably know this can be a problem, and you might receive tins of pellets where a substantial number of each tin are in a condition you do not like.

Well i just got 6 tins in the mail today + the 480 cc carbon bottle for my Maverick, and opening the parcel was like shipping nirvana, clearly this store have a very large interest in that pellets arrive in a good condition, even if we all know that shipping companies can some times be so bad they would break a 1 foot long piece of railway track sent with them.

Anyway this is what i saw ( bottle have been unwrapped previously by me at my friends house, it was in a 2 X layer of bubble wrap ( which some think is fine for a stack of pellet tins )

As you can see not much chance of pellets or anything sliding around, also this is a proper cardboard box unlike the ones some times used that have the tensile strength and stiffness of 3 sheets of A4 paper, this box before opening it was like a block of wood, and nothing sliding around inside it.

This i feel is very refreshing as there are so much "indifference" in today's world, and i can assure you the next time i go to that store even if it is a 1.5 hour drive each way, i will bring these foam blocks with me, so that they can be used again.

CUZ Thats just the kind of guy i am, and thats the least i would go to for anyone that have my respect.

IMO: This is how you do shipping.

It's great when you see a vendor take the extra time to package things so they will not be damaged. It's extremely important that pellets are packed well so we don't get all kinds of damaged ones when we open the tin.

I just got my PolyMag Shorts from Utah Air they usually package things well. I was horrified when I opened my package of spendy pellets to find this. So, you know as well as me I will be finding literally hundreds of damaged pellets in these tins as they were left to bounce around in an otherwise empty container. Anyone, with even half a brain, knows better than to package pellets like this. It really pisses me off to see this kind of stuff going on!!!

I will be emailing them with my thoughts on this matter. I will try to be civil about it as I have to remember, after all, it's only a first world problem. ;^)

EDIT;

Opened a tin up and to my utter amazement there were very few damaged pellets in it. I don't how this could be but hope the other tins are as good.

Yeah that right there is no good, aside for internet store front and its content and prices, how you ship your things are the #2 thing your customers will see / feel. Actually the guy / guys that do your shipping you should consider them your company representatives, and they should have all tools at hand to do a good job

And i dont know about others but i would gladly pay a buck more and be sure i got optimal packaging of my stuff, even if that effort can still be nullified by the shipping company, but then i would be taking matters up with them.

My friend once ordered a pretty expensive large RC boat, about the same size as this other one he also have.

It was trashed after the customs inspection as that was easy to see even by a none detective / PI, but Danish postal just denied everything and in the end we had to fix the trashed rudder assembly and cracked rear end and the cracked gel coat along one side of the hull.

And the boat was packaged really well, but getting compacted by a forklift or something heavy it was not able to handle, and in places the cardboard box + customs tape looked like a accordion bellow.
