PCP's are cheap, right?? (sarcasm intended)

So a couple years ago, I bought a used MK1 from AoA (when they were still an FX Dealer). Paid $1500 for the gun. Then the fun started:

Scope and rings, about $425

Damage to the gun (my fault) complete rebuild, probably $200 in parts and a couple months of evenings putting it all back together.

Wanted more accuracy so upgraded to STX barrel system $200

Wanted more accuracy, so upgraded to Superior heavy liner $110

Wanted more efficiency, so added Power Plenum $200 (worth every penny too!)

Want more efficiency, so adding Ernest's dual transfer port $40 (with shipping) - expect it in a week or so

Want more efficiency, so adding Dubber's slug kit $45 - expect it in a week or so

Wanted bigger magazine, so upgrading to the 28 round version. $65 - expect it in a week or so

That doesn't even include the ammunition.

Please don't add it up, It's scary!

Well it's cheap when compared to a drug addiction or some others like a wife and kids is it not? ;^) So, yes it is definitely a cheap addiction.

I like you bought a Gen1 Impact and this is what happened after that. It's a good thing we can upgrade these things otherwise we would be buying our way towards better performance with new guns all of the time.

My favorite PCP rifle cast me $120 used. It now has a $660 list scope on it (purchased for $210. I've got probably $350 dollars in mods to the rifle. 100hrs or more working on it to install and tune mods and after all of that I might be able to $200 for it, maybe!! Thankfully it's my favorite rifle even though I have a more expensive rifle that's also more powerful. Heck, I paid $1525 for a used KTM 550 mxc and then proceeded to invest (?) another $4k in making it perfect but now it just sits. lol Too damn fast for this old man now.
