Do you have something to pump it up with? I have a 22 discovery that I never shoot. I'd have to ask the wife. She shoots it, but I can't get her to shoot much anyway. Let me know if you're interested. What part of the country are you in? Shipping these things has gotten ridiculous lately. I'd love it if you were near and could try it out first.

Used pumps are pretty common on the classifieds-after a few sessions pumping a lot of shooters get a tank. The Discovery or Maximus rifles usually do best at 1800 psi and with the small air reservoir are easier to fill with a pump.

Another practical fill set up is a scuba tank. That is, if there are dive shops or paintball shops in your area that will fill the tank! Check this out BEFORE you buy a tank! That being said I got a year's worth of shooting my Discovery before I needed a refill on my scuba tank. The fill yoke and hose will cost between $50-150 depending on the quality.

I actually owned a Katana which was a Discovery based gun sort of a notch up from the Discovery and a notch below the Marauder. It was my first PCP and I liked it but got frustrated with it and eventually sold it after getting a Marauder. It was pretty accurate and light with a nice trigger. Never had any leakage problems, got around 25 good shots on an 1800 psi fill.

No-it never really caught on, you'd have to find one used. It had a Marauder trigger group which was very nice. A common mod for the Discovery type guns is to use a Marauder trigger group. Not a cheap fix though, and you also need a spacer between the air reservoir and trigger cause the Marauder air tube is a larger diameter. My Katana had a good barrel but would shift POI between fills.
