PCP Slugs For The Big Ones !

Well I'm very happy with JSB KH's, they are accurate and hit very hard a very good pellet for what I have shot so far ..Ground Squirrels and Jacks ! Shots are in the 45-65 yard range and that pellet is moving out at 950+ puts the smack on 'em.

I using Eun Jin's right now too but have not been able to get a shot off yet ....way, way to windy, Last week when I could sight them in on my splash plate at 60 yds, they hit hard ! These were going to be my general "YOTE" round, and I'm sure they would be fine for up to 60ish yards, they still have over 50 fpe at that range and are definitely accurate enough.

Today I just ordered some 39gr HP slugs ... I'm sure the BC will be much higher than any of the pellets I'm using and that will greatly increase my range and increase my long range energy if they get good initial velocity ... which I'm sure they will out of my Condor !

For you guys that hunt Pigs, Yotes, Coon etc ... what pellet/slug do you like ? Using slugs in a 25 cal that are in the 900-950 fps range turns my air gun into a real power house .... no, not like a custom modded out .257 but far outpacing a standard pellet for sure !

Like to know the thoughts of you guys that are using slugs.

Thanks,

I just ordered from Nielsen Specialty ammo, he was gotten some good reports. I'm not about to cast anything as I know myself and I will end up getting hurt ... nope that is not for me.

Rat sniper slugs has some good reports too.

Since I ONLY plan on using these for an Coyote, If I had 1000 of these, they would probably last me a lifetime.

"Dcorvino"Hi
recommend contacting Nick at Neilsen specialty ammo.
let him know what you're shooting and whet you want to do.
He should be able to take care of you
Hope this helps.

Dave
Yep, ordered and also contacted him, mentioned I thought a Dish Base my be better than Hollow Base as the slug will be a bit shorter and may have less friction and maybe a bit faster.

I'll see what he says tomorrow..
