PCP groups in central Idaho?

Thinking about getting into the sport.

I’m newly registered on this site a couple of days ago.

trying to decide what gun/accessories to buy, a d it seems the sky is the limit.

I’m a long time precision rifle shooter, but would like something to do in the off hunting season times that is a bit less noisy and won’t draw the attention of the constabulary.

so, I’m trying to find groups here in central and southwest Idaho.

Group is based out of Boise and each year they do a big squirrel hunt. Hell or high water I want to go next year, the last two years it has been cancelled like so many other things because of covid.

I have heard that in Pocatello where I am from the HFT / FT is supposed to be popular and active.

I’m retired so can move around to shoot, at least once the orthopedic doc waves his magical chart and say go forth and be a fool again……….

looking at the Umarex Gauntlet 2 for an entry level shooter, to see if I like the sport.

welcome to the forum , Nice to see more airgunner's from Idaho here. I live in Boise , and I am willing to meet up on the weekends for a shooting sessions. I have a few metal reactive targets to shoot. as far as groups, I don't think there is much out there, that meet regularly . Let me know if you would like to get together.

Thanks for the invite.

I’m looking at which rifle to buy right now, and the brands, types, and calibers are many.

I think I’m kind of leaning towards the .25 caliber vs smaller and eventually maybe a .357 caliber.

The Gauntlet 2 with the upgrades looks good for a start.

Before retirement my primary carry was the M4, 14.5”, plus precision long guns.

is the link to the Pocatello rifle range calendar, and the FT matches are usually on the second Saturday of the month. Contact info in the calendar listing.

They have a great setup for FT at this range. The guys there are welcoming, helpful and great competitors. ITs the closest FT match for me in Bozeman (4 hours for Pocatello)...Need to get back down there and shoot some more with them

@idblkcld no worries, and if I get a chance when I am in Idaho maybe we can meet up and do some shooting, and varmiting / pesting if you so desire. I have a habit of never having a problem getting permission to hunt
