PCP Gauge Broken and/or not Installed

Hello,

Please, I need your thoughts on this hypothetical question. If you owned a PCP that had an air tube gauge that was not working properly to indicate existing air pressure, or if you had a PCP that was built without an air pressure gauge installed from the factory, how could you determine accurately the amount of air pressure in the air tube?

Is there a special gauge that could be attached to the PCP air tube to find out the amount of air in the air tube . . . how would you do this? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

If you don't have a gauge you'll have to rely on the filling devices gauge. If you've shot the gun down some and then you re-hook to refill it watch the fill devices gauge very closely and slowly start filling the gun. You'll notice by vision and normally hear a click when the check valve in the male foster opens. That will be the pressure that you had left in the air tube/bottle. Since I regulated my Regal the guns gauge now just reads the regulated pressure. When I refill now I just use the fill devices gauge and I normall look and listen for the indication of what was left in the air tube. Eventually I may add a gauge to the tube to read the high pressure side.

If you have a gauge and it's not working correctly replace it. Huma has a wide variety of gauges to choose from.
