PA now has Ataman guns listed.

Got to say I was not impressed with what I saw. A fill level of 300 bar for the number of shots you get is poor to me. Bullpups with rear cocking levels are awkward to use and almost impossible for a lefty like me. Most of the rifles weigh too much at 8.8 lbs without scope to be walking around the field and hunting. And almost $1400 to $1845 for rifles with those short comings to me is not worth the price. Those are my thoughts about these rifle. For others it may be just what they want. Bill

I understand they've been around in Europe for a while, but virtually unknown (to me). They look good, but no way in hell I would pay that much for them without some trusted reviews or larger following. Close to $1,500? Kidding me? When I have the choice of a Wildcat, Cricket, Vulcan, etc for close to that price?

With these new "high-priced" rifles flooding the market these other marginal brand names also trying to jump on the band wagon, and dubious paid or "otherwise involved" peddlers promoting them, I am starting to feel being used or at least treated like a rich dumb ass expected to throw down close to two grand on a heresay and based on one "paid" peddler review... Let's come back down to reality. I hope the market will correct the prices for some on these lofty and hopeful valuations that trying to cash in on trying to be the latest "high-end wannabe":....

In an effort to keep them light and compact they have only a 250cc tube that fills to 300bar wow, It says that he 9mm gets 11 shots I wonder how many are usable shots? They look very nice in person....In the years to come you are going to see more and more $2000 rifles here in the US, There was another Russian company there also, Wolf air gun, but I do not know who are picking them up over here in the US. They can clearly see that the airgun market is growing at a very fast rate in the US and they know that now is the time to cash in. It is good for us as new rifles are being released every year.

"tkerrigan"I have a particular abhorrence for expensive magazines. Regards, Tom
Yeah that really gets under my skin also. There are entire guns you can buy for $100 and you're telling me you need to get $120 for just a magazine? I'm all for profit but there is still several thousand percent markup at even $45 or $50.

Regards,
Cliff

From what is being reported on them, build quality should be similar to that of a Cricket rifles. There seems to be an assembly issues, on some of these guns, baffle clipping, reg issues, pellet probe spring not adjusted, plastic magazine, minor stuff like that.

Design and engineering is good. I have seen diagrams on these Demyan rifles. Pyramyd Air is a reputable company, and I doubt they would sign these up if there were really major problems. These guys appear at IWA show for several years before. This year they made it to Shot Show. So they are a legit airgun company.

Price wise we shall see if they will be able to hold their own against FX and Daystate guns.

Turboken I realize that but when all these other companies start taking pieces of the pie and sales get sluggish I bet we see drops in prices, AOA is selling the older Air Rangers at reduced cost. FX comes out with the Wildcat at lower price point. I see the Airgun world as a pretty small pie compared to firearms so each little bite going to a competitor hurts I'm sure, also profit margins I'm sure are much greater on Airguns look they dropped the price on some of these guns $400 I guarantee that still has profit they are not giving them away. Which also lowers the second hand gun market. The guy that paid 2k plus for an air ranger is not going to get anywhere near what he paid when you can buy one brand new for 1499.00.
