P15 DEVOTEES?

Can you purchase one anywhere? Replaced by the p10 ? Seems Krales is out of stock.

Not short but Tammy thinks she wants the Diana Outlaw ( same factory I believe) as it is SO light, and regulated. Barrel threads into the reciever I believe and I'd like to see how that works.

I did see inside one of the first p15's in the U.S. and the machining looked outstanding for whatever that counts.

They're essentially the new model of the p10/12. Also the base of the Diana Skyhawk.

Very well machined (internally and externally) and designed. Unfortunately some important things are of very poor quality- particularly the barrel and regulator.

The barrel is oversized and utterly horrible. The rifling starts abruptly about 5mm past the transfer port and shreds the pellet as it feeds through. Once you've fixed that, most pellets almost fall straight through they're so loose. It's a 13mm outside diameter barrel - more on that in a sec.

The reg either works well for a bit then dies, is non functional from the get go, demonstrates terrible creep or shows some combination of the those.

One other thing to note - the shroud internals are useless and guaranteed to clip eventually. Easily fixed by removing the little tin baffles with no change in report. Also, put some felt inside under the vent holes at the back of the shroud. We get aftermarket silencers that then screw directly into the shroud here that make them as quiet as any other bullpup - doubt donnyFL would struggle there.

I bought one as a gun to to tinker with having heard most of the issues from my local forum. Still sucked that they were even worse in my gun.
Nevertheless the shot cycle is excellent with absolutely no pinging or vibration. With a bit of tweaking the trigger is as good as I've felt on any bullpup and a damned sight better than my Vulcan was. The gun is exceptionally solid feeling. Also very easily stripped down for maintenance and tuning. HST is easily adjustable by a screw at the back. Well designed hammer with no issues with bounce.

In the end I replaced the barrel with a 12mm OD LW one which just happens to be one of those 'magic' barrels. Shoots sub 1/2inch at 50yards and have yet to get a flyer at 840fps with 18grain jsb. Needed to add 0.5mm brass bushings at the barrel clamps and shroud to make up the 1mm difference from the factory barrel.

Managed to fix the reg but it remained less than ideal, so now I recently put a huma in and it works perfectly.

In its current state it shoots as well as my Vulcan with a more civilized shot cycle and better trigger. Also weighs 2.7kg/6 pounds scoped with an optisan evx 10x42 as well as Tula (the locally made one I mentioned) silencer attached.
Perfect little workhorse and still significantly cheaper than most guns with comparable performance even after the extra work and components are accounted for. The nice thing about the quality of the engineering of the action etc is it is not one of those guns that feels like it's going to work well for a while after tuning and then crap out. Now it's done it is awesome and I have no doubt will stay that way.

The road to getting it to this point has been frustrating though and is definitely not for everyone. If you've got the frustration tolerance it's worth it though.

Barrel doesn't thread in on the p15 btw. Simply slides in and is held in place by the barrel clamps and a grub screw at the top of one of the clamps under the scope rail.

I just got an emaail from Gerrit at "Krale Schietsport" in the Netherlands that they will have Aretimis P-15's back in stock next week, like the first week of July. I bought my P-15 from them last year and they wwere the best airgun company I have ever done business with. Right now they are selling the gun to U.S. customers for $472.80, plus $50. shipping to the U.S. It took only 3 days for me to receive my P-15 from them. Since then I have also bought extra magazines from them.

In the meantime, I want to purchase a Diana Skyhawk, the P-15 knock off because I want to get one of the new Italian made stocks, that are beautiful.

Has anyone heard when the Skyhawk will be released and ready to buy here in the states or anywhere for that matter?

Good thread. Had'nt heard of the new "Diana" , might be worth a wait tho it would be very nice if the importer/distributor would give any indication of wether or not we may see more or the "Diana" pre-charged line up.

Otherwise it might be worth grabing a straight up other wise marked model & install a reg. Really need a light regulated rifle.
