Outdoor places to shoot air guns in or close to San Diego

Hello,

Looking for air gun only places to shoot near SD. Willing to drive an hour or so. Preferably in the woods with shade.

Would be great to find people with same interests in the area.

If you know any such areas please post or send an email

I have a place in Temecula Wine country, but not in the woods. Pretty much set up for airguns at various distances out to around 120yds, but under controlled conditions by folks I’ve checked out.

I used to live in Hemet ca. riverside county. i now live in marana az where i can shoot anything. you can shoot pellets anywhere in california. these are not firearms and can be used in the back yards. if you wont express your rights...then leave or go get a poke in the arm. rollover its is easer then confrontation.

there aren’t any heavily populated cities in the nation regardless of in CA or not allows any sort of projectiles to be flying around unabated!!! It has nothing to do with CA and everything to do with population density so let’s not make it a politic please. I am in CA and my county does not have any sort of pellet gun ordinance besides kids need adult supervision and all CA cities started out that way until someone F it up for everyone! Since CA is the most populous state we have more places that won’t even allow spitball…….and when you see some of the locals(like in hemet) you would agree with the ordinance. It has to do with the right of everyone not be afraid of getting shot randomly. In rural CA which is VAST people shoot their PB all the time if they have large enough piece of land just like any other state.

Dino,

There used to be a monthly? Shoot in Temecula. That was pre-COVID. Not sure if it’s still going on. Check the shoot announcements for additional info

If your just looking for a place to get out and shoot, there’s lots of National Forest and BLM land around.
Some NF spots have been closed to shooting because of Slobs leaving shot up cans, bottles, targets on trees etc Check with a local ranger station for info on closures.

Hey guys I just became a member earlier this morning I live in San Diego and shoot in my backyard as well like the gentleman posted it’s legal in your backyard not your front yard I live on a canyon, I can hear both sides;
1- air rifles shooting off.
2- someone shooting their mouth off with discontent.
With that being said I need a new / quieter pcp.
Thanks guys,Steve

I too shoot 'across ' my yard here in San Diego county from a position within my house thus reducing the report...Happy Neighbors.
