I know optisan and MTC are the same company my question is which one is the higher end product? I have an Optisan viper and i know MTC also has a viper scope someone explained to me that optisan is the the Cadillac of the company and MTC is the Chevy of the company is this true or is it the other way around?

Watched a YouTube video by Richard Utting the other day where he tore the mtc viper pro a new one, but praised the optisan.

They are actually different companies with different manufactures. Optisan is a manufacture making their own brand "Optisan", MTC distributed Optisan in the UK for several years with the MTC designed SCB reticle. So the names are often confused as the same company. The two companies have parted, MTC launching their new line of scopes the Viper Pro and Mamba Pro in 2016 and Optisan moving forward with the EVX and EVE. I like them both

I have both, and the first MTC Viper Pro was defective, the replacement perfect.
I also love the Optisan, tho it has less magnification.
Glass is good on both, the IR controls on the MTC is a push button on the parallax knob, and similar to the Sidewinder on the Optisan.
The turrets on the MTC Viper Pro are very special, sets it apart, and justifies the additional expense.
The weather in Wisconsin has been abysmal so I have not had aa chance to do the box test etc. yet.

Macros, I finally tracked down that video, by Miles you are so right! He trashed Utting. I agree, I have a Viper Connect and I think it’s rubbish. My cheap Bushnell Banner is so much clearer and sharper. I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy an Optisan scope now.
