Optics Planet = Negative rating

I understand how you feel, but have and will continue to buy from them. A phone call is always best to confirm an item is in stock, especially when inventory is low (they sell a LOT of stuff), and many websites (not just here)are not an assurance of stock. Due to the social distancing and reduced staff available as a result of Covid, refund times are extended. They make clear that even in stock items will take up to 2 weeks to ship. They make clear that if you do not want to pay return shipping (if not defective), your refund will be in the form of a store credit, that MAY take up to a month to receive. I have bought things I thought I would like, that 5 minutes after looking at, I did not. That is not their fault. They always took the item back, I always got my money back without a restocking fee, so when I’m unsure an item will fit my needs, Optics Planet will get the order.

Don't believe it with Optics Planet. On a recent attempt to purchase a compressor from them, the web site said "IN STOCK" - the sales person told me it was in stock - but they forgot to hide the part in the "check order status" once the order had been placed that very clearly said "Item Ordered". A company that will lie to you about what is in stock to get you to place an order, and hope you will wait around until they get it, is not to be trusted in any other area either. One deceptive business practice is all it takes for me to never use a company again, and I will no longer be buying from Optics Planet.

OpticsPlanet will be my last resort if I need to place an order. It has to be a really good price and something I don't need right away for me to order from them again. It's too bad because they have a lot to offer in regards to products. Here's the order and delivery dates for the last 2 orders I placed with them;

CE ProChrono DLX. Ordered: 08/08/2020, Delivered: 11/25/2020. (Over 3 months!)

PARD NV007. Ordered: 10/29/2020, Delivered: 12/20/2020. (Almost 2 months!)

At the time I ordered, all items showed they were in stock.
