Opposum Problem: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly [Graphic Pics]

Here I sit...

I never had a thing against them, not in the least; I let them come hither, tither and what-not.

I know them, researched them and know their existance, but I was asked to kill them, I asked more of myself and had to research

My story...

I don't have or keep horses, but a friend of a friend did, and two mares died of EPM; an incurable disease spread from the feces 100% contributed to Possums. If you wish to read more on the subject here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equine_protozoal_myeloencephalitis or https://aaep.org/horsehealth/epm-understanding-debilitating-disease .

Anyway, I had this situation and I had to think, and based off my research they had to die. Here they are:

Three head shots and less of a problem.

Please don't badger me about the benefits of possums, etc, if was asked and it was done. Period.

Here I end this story...

Possums are tick vaccums as I understand it but besides MAYBE eating a mouse all they eat is fruits, grubs, dead things, and trash. Not a massive benefit and expensive horses dying of some disease constitutes the need to eleminate. They aren't the only ones as I tell folks, more where that came from.

Cute on YouTube, not so cute in backyard. I would add based on what I have seen they are not 'aggressive' but do have 50 teeth. They put up a show for sure if cornered. Good shooting.
