Opinions welcomed on cheapest Umarex Origin $299 with free pump free ship

I own the 22 shoots great but never used the included hand pump nor even had the desire to assemble it after reading bad hand pump reviews. I pump with my $50 Amazon pump that worked fine going on 3 years so far. I also have compressors and tanks. Pumping for exercise only.

I am.unsure whether or not to recommend it or not based on the junk hand pump that I haven't even tried that's likely gonna fail Probably quick anyway.

The DAR Gen2 is $269.99 that's why I ask.

I wouldn't trust the included Hand Pump it's likely NOT the relabeled Hill they sell separately. Its likely an item that must be kept in case Umarex requires both the gun and pump sent back at the same time of the gun needs service replacement within its 3 year Warranty period.

I bought it due to lowest shot blast sound output as-is better plastic stock and no regulator to give problems and very low start fill friendliness compared to the Gen1 Avenger.

RE- The DAR read some unfavorable first hand user feedback posted here just waiting for the brand to stop having returns per user posts b4 buying one.

Waiting for the Gen2 Avenger once the leaky and poppet and regulator issues are addressed and improved on b4 buying with my luck is likely get one of the bad ones like how AEAC mentioned on his review video.

I still prefer my duked up Benjamin Maximus with Challenger trigger and TKO.

The Origin appears to be a little more accurate multishot with a not as nice trigger.

I trust Dana and Hajimoto's reviews.

Dana won't post any review on a gun that broke so what he posts are worth buying.

Hajimoto tells it like it is and offers improved parts to make them Even better.

Shooter 1721 kinda no fair he's the modern day Bob Munden of airguns who does great reviews too.

Example- (bought THIS EXACT gun from him years ago then just recently bought another same gun same caliber that's not as accurate). To his credit he DID state it had a hand picked barrel straight from Crosman.

I suspect their in house barrel making tooling may be worn out. I have a 22 first 100 Gen1 that shoots like it has a hand picked Lothar Walrher barrel 1/4" - 3/8" at 50 yards. All my other 22 Gen1 Marauders belonged in the trash.

I just walked into academy and got mine since I have a store within about an hour. Could not get it to pump out of the box. I reworked the pump and cleaned it and it worked. Later on had the same problem, but I think the probe was the fault. Any time I haven't been able to get it to pump I've removed the probe, reinserted, and tried again. That has been successful so far. In my opinion the fill probe is the biggest downfall of the origin. I wish it was like the Avenger coupling. Not possible with the EPT system though.

I'm almost 2k shots in on my origin now. I had to put an oring in my pump at about 1200. No biggie. Likely my fault for over working it honestly. That clunk in the ept is normal. It's self regulating. I guess of the noise bothers you, then it bothers you. I'm fine with it. The worst noise is the hammer twang in my opinion. Absolutely love my origin. Not one single regret. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
