Opinions between Daystate and FX?

My Royale arrived! The gun is visually much nicer than expected. The wood is as nice as some powder rifles that I have spent money on to upgrade the wood figure. After talking to Jim at Precision Airguns, I was impressed with the kind of service that he gave me. I really like to deal with a smaller company rather than a warehouse. He did exactly what he said at every step. He also shipped the same day. Trust me I will be a returning customer. I fitted the 400 with a Hawke Sidewinder 30 8X25 with BKL 301 Highs. I was able to get a few shots this morning, but a 25mph wind....... I cannot even try to get a accuracy opinion. The action is "butter" smooth. Very quiet also. I really appreciate the recommendation that you guys gave me. I feel good about this gun!

After running a tin of JSB's through it...... The gun really is a good shooter. Nice tight groupings. The nice thing is, that everything is in the right place. I can hold with my thumb up for bench work. This feels natural to me. To cock the gun, I don't have to take my eye off the target.
The only issue I have so far is my scope. My Hawke has to be returned/replaced due to the turret locking splines were installed off a bit which tore up the splines. Optics Planet (where I purchased) worked with me to get one in quick order. I wish Leupold would produce a side wheel style AO scope. I have a front Leupold AO on a Kimber .22. They are just quality glass with a lifetime warranty. Maybe in the future with the hobby growing.

ive only see daystates, never even held one. i do have 4 fx's and am not expecting to change brands.
but i bought 2 of my fx's new and a friend bought one 2 months ago and all 3 have had to go back to aoa for repairs. Not from us tearing them up. The one trip back to aoa has been all they need so far.
im not saying this to bad mouth fx, i dont want to trade any of my 4 , but they are not perfect.

That is a beautiful example, so that's like a 22 cal Royale 500 basically? I thought the 400 part referred to bottle size.

"fugawi"I'm in the same boat, can't decide about getting into PCP.
Looking into Daystate and FX.
They both look extremely very well made and quality.
The Crown and Airwolf?
This discussion is from 2016... but I would wait until tomorrow or Wednesday because that is when the SHOT show begins and both companies will showcase their new 2018 products.
