It is a Gen 2 .177 I have just purchased, should be here the end of the week. Has a regulator already and shooting 45 shots on one fill, a little over 900 fps accurately. Would it be worth the money to install a SSG?

I have a huma regulated gen 2 .177 that used to get 50 shots at 900fps. I built my own SSG and now get 90 shots at 905fps with 10.5gr premiers.

So, yes, an SSG is worth it in my opinion.

Per Bob Sterne the brains behind the design,  SSG = “Stopping Spring Guide”

WAR sells one and Steve in NC sells one on the yellow forum called an FFH. If you are a DIY type, they are very easy to make and can be less than $10 in hardware store parts.

Edit: AOA sells the Steve in NC FFH version as well.

If you want quick and easy, the WAR SSG is the way to go. Once you get the idea in your head, tuning couldn’t be easier.
