Open sights on airguns

Been removing the optics on several of my airguns. Here are pictures of my TX200 and a 2250. The 2250 has a Ruger rear sight installed. I had to modify the Crosman dovetail sight slot. Lucky that I have a mill.

TX200 has a Williams 5d-gr, I think it is along with a Williams ramp sitting very high due to the low setting of the TX200 barrel. Been fun shooting the rifles with open style sights. P-rod included. I probably won't put open sights on my Marauder rifle or the Gauntlet, but never say never.

My eyes are old and scopes are more than helpful. Although I shoot my single pump and springer pistols with open sights at 10 yards for the most part. I shoot the rest of my guns at near the limits of their range. PCP pistols and springer rifles at 50 yards, PCP rifles at 100-200 yards open sights would severely limit my range with these guns. Still I have a Diana 52 with open sights I shoot occasionally but mostly shoot the 54 with the scope cuz I can hit smaller things better.

I only use iron sights, red dot, and SeeAll sights on any of my rifles in my collection. All Springer's. Practice several times a week so when I go hunting with them I'm prepared. 50 yards being the maximum distance I would attempt too take a animal/pest I like the quick target acquisition the above mentioned offer me. These and many more.

New here so sorry if I'm out of place..

Like gamo , too many offerings of rifles with out open sites . Also will not answer if there drilled to mount one easy with out the use of tape and or super glue

I feel sorry for guys that get them scope eaters and no open sites to fall back on when they get tired of buying scopes

Speci l like that . Peep style for air for 60-120 feet should be dead nuts on with good open site rifle doing it at them ranges

If you really like peeps or diopter sights but have poor vision, consider a Seibert iris with adjustable diopter. This allows correction of the visual deficit, has an iris, and also yellow filter to increase contrast. The Gehmann counterparts are very expensive, but

the Seibert older, less expensive. Here's one on a HW diopter sight.
