One of those perfect afternoons...

Not from MY testing. The biggest detriment to accuracy on the Daystate's we've run into is the way the leade is purchased from LW. Small changes in the leade have yielded fairly significant gains in rifles that SEEMED to have problems. Biggest issue I've personally had is leading .... but that's every barrel when you're pushing the velocity.

I know Matt D has made a LOT of derogatory statements about the LWs but you have to keep in mind who he works for. Even made some posts at one point indicating first hand experience with the ART barrels when the only ones in existence were in my hands or a teammate's in AZ.

Btw... nice shooting !

First let me say that’s an exceptional group! And regarding Bobs reply, I agree with him totally I’ve had both LW barrels (RAW & DAYSTATE RED WOLF)and FX barrels (IMPACT & CROWN) both can shoot excellent!, a-lot of people think the choke is the most important...but the other end is equally or even more important! I don’t have the time to go into detail but I’m sure Bob understands where I’m coming from!, now back to about what Matt D is saying about LW barrels doesn’t hold water with me button rifled barrels can be just as consistent in land & groove dimensions as any! And I find it interesting how he talks down about LW when his coveted savage CF rifle has a button rifled barrel! and I believe Tikka’s are hammer forged? Both can shoot excellent, If you want to really know about barrels? look at any interview with John Kreiger, probably the most honest and knowledgeable barrel manufacturer EVER! which the barrels he produces are cut rifled! along with others Brux, Bartlein etc. now don’t crucify me as I know these are center fire barrels but most of the details apply to airguns as well... done with my rant!

Thanks guys! All my varmint and f class guns are either krieger, lilja, or early day mcgowens. This is my first time messing with airguns and wow is it tricky! Im still struggling with slugs, Ive pretty much determined they just wont shoot in this barrel. I made an adjustable probe tip to play with rifling engagment which helped some. Was going to give tj’s a call.

Who is this Matt D? From what I've read, you just gotta push the pellets fast enough with the poly barrels and they're gtg.
