One Choice for EBR & RMAC

So far, my favorite is the Midas Tac 24x. Enough mag for 100 yard w very good glass and solid turrets plus good reticle for holdover in the FT. Decent field of view as well. I have some other good ones, but the reticle, weight, field of view ..... or something, just isn't as appropriate .

Of any scope in the market??, well that'd be none other than a Zero Compromise Optics/ZCO 5-27x56, only a mere $3700, lol!!!

I might try a Athlon Ares BTR Gen2 4.5-27x50 this time, not sure??? My favorite sub $1000 scope so far! 

It's debated how much magnification is actually needed. Big following for 10-50's and such.

I personally want a FFP scope for RMAC.

I happen to be able to use any of my scopes to shoot , But If I had to pick 1 and only 1 to use for dialing it would be my Schmidt bender PM2 5x25x56 with pf4 reticle ,

The reason I would pick this is I have many hours behind the PM-2 and I know mine is precise at all magnification I use it which is 8x15 , It has precise turrets and always track 100% of time, and reticle is clear and this scope is great for reading mirage , and has 24 mil dialing on turret and



Now If I was Shooting a timed event for long range out to say 200 yds , and dial and hold , I would not pick the 5x45 , I would pick my Schmidt Bender PM2 5x45 Tremor 3 , as this scope is a bit better for speed follow up and great for fast corrections , The Tremor 3 is good out beyond 2000 yd , I do not find reticle cluttered ,



If I had to shoot 2 fixed distances say 50 and 100 yd , in competition I would opt for My IOR 3x18 x5o as this has tier 1 glass built like a tank and has 2 zeros on turrets

I’d go with either the Midas TAC 6-24x or the Ares BTR 4.5-27x. Whichever you can get a better deal on. The Ares has IR which could be helpful in darker conditions. I have both and the glass is about the same between the two. 

I’d also take a look at the new Arken EP-4 6-24x50. Don’t have one but saw it at SHOT plus a friend has one and loves it. 

You don’t need to spend over $3,000 to get a quality scope for Airguns. Much past $800 you run into the law of decreasing returns. 

This looks like a really good deal and Joe W Rhea gives the Arken top ratings.
