Omega or Air venturi?

I have the Omega Trail from AOA and it's really great. It's water cooled and portable. The reliability reviews are higher on it too. Yes it's a couple hundred more than the Air Venturi Nomad 2, but it get returned or repaired a lot less then the Nomad.

This is from Utah Airguns. - "the Air Venturi Nomad 2 does come back for warranty for returns more often than we would like" - this is paraphrasing some...

AOA - "we almost never see an Omega Trail come back to us for repair or replacement".

I bought the Omega Trail.

My Omega will fill bottles but only 20 minutes at a time, then it needs a break and it takes a while. But in a pinch it will do it and not have any issues. If my primary function was to fill bottles and not directly fill guns I would get the Omega Super Charger however.

My Omega Trail Charger has been working great, but I only have about 5 hours on it. I use it to fill my 30-minute SCBA bottle, which it does without a problem so far. Going from 0 to 4500 psi took a few cycles of pumping/resting, but now I pump it back up after a shooting session and it does it in one go. A 45 or 60 minute bottle would be different territory and you might look at a bigger compressor at that point, as has been mentioned.

I received my AV 4500 10/17/2017. I have never had an issue requiring any type of repairs to test the PA service on them. I fill two tanks...A 60 minute and a 30 minute SCBA. Always to 4500 psi and typically from below 3000 psi. I shoot .357, .30, 25, and .22 cal. I like to do a lot of testing and tuning with cast pellets and slugs which takes a lot of air. I don't know anything about the Omega or any other compressors.

Thanks!...I may have to look into the AV

I have heard a lot of trash talk about them over the years. Mainly because of being China made, or them being compared to some similar knock-offs calling them the same, but I would not agree with those statements. I use Ingersoll Rand All Season Full Synthetic oil only. I change it out every six hours as directed. I also use 50/50 antifreeze with Royal Purple wetting agent in the cooling reservoir. Have never changed it since new, but do monitor the temp gauge it comes with.
