OMEGA Compressors review videos (Part 1&2)

I'm sticking my head out of my hole with my latest video on the Omega compressors.
It's a long video (30 min) but, I'm covering a lot. Review - Unboxing - Set up - Testing - and Comparison.
I'll be following this up (hopefully) with a race video between the Super and the Turbo. (See Part II a few posts down)
Also, Frank is back! This is his triumphant return to the big screen after an illness that nearly killed him recently.
Hope you enjoy! Shoot me a + if you get something out of it. ;)
Happy Shooting
Tom

Thanks Tom, you pretty much covered all the bases ... except for that bald spot on the top of your head. NOW I KNOW why you always wore a hat ... so we wouldn't have to wear sun glasses to protect us from all the light reflecting off the super dome. Nah ... just pullin' ur leg, but you really did a good job on the video, just hope it doesn't get taken down by YouTubes content monitors who all reside at the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Who did you buy it from, I'm guessing AoA. I got my Super Charger from them and it came to me defective, eventually had to send it back into AoA, but since then it has not given me a second of trouble. Todd (the guy who works on these contrapions at AoA) is the easiest person in the world to get along with and really goes out of his way to make sure you are happy with the product. He says that if the Super Charger doesn't do well in the American market place, then he wont have a job so it behooves him to make sure everyone is happy. When I sent mine back to be worked on, he took the whole thing apart found that the piston had a chip in it at the bottom which would not allow it to build up pressure .... but like I said, since then it's been all good.
I do have a Diablo Dry Air System on mine because I live in North Carolina where we have extremely humid conditions about 6 months out of the year ... and like you, I want nothing but dry air inside my equipment ... water and O-rings make for a bad situation all the way around.
I've got about 80 hours on my Super Charger and havn't had to add any grease to the machine yet ... I do turn the green knob one click every 6 hours of run time, but haven't had to add anything to the reservoir yet. If you should forget to turn the knob every six hours, it has a red light which comes on to tell you that you missed your maintenance and to turn the knob or to check the reservoir.
Stay chilly ... keep on keepin' on ... don't get discouraged ... and feed those skinny cats.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. The next video is edited and loaded. I'll post it up in a few days.
@likkitysplyt I kinda got them both at/from AoA... I was AT AoA when I bought the Super (right place, right time) and I got the Turbo FROM AoA. lol
@2D1C Yeah, they are a really tough pill to swallow. But, it's so nice afterwards knowing that I have all the air I want, any time I want it.
@Maineiac I'm rolling the dice with this one video. I think I'll post the next one on Sunday or Monday. For right now, I'm tip toeing very lightly until I feel confident that I can re-post the rest of my vids. I'm lucky that I only permanently lost 1 so far.

Thanks for being subscribers too! I posted this with NO keywords.
I may post a video about how to remove a BUMP from the STOCK of an airlift AR-15!
WHOA!!! FLAG, FLAG, FLAG, STRIKE, TERMINATE! 🙄

Tom thanks for the video and magnet idea. I have the regular Omega Super Charger. It came with anti-freeze instead of water so I can keep it in my shop without having it inside.

Todd of AoA added some notes which are,"When to add grease: 2 complete turns CW every 4 hrs. of operation, when empty fill back up. This is the most critical of maintenance".

He also noted when filling gun directly from compressor set the self-draining adjust knobs to left knob 1/2 minute(time of air bleed) and right knob to 3 minutes (time of fill before it bleeds) as a general rule. Mine has run flawless for the last couple of years. The only thing done to it is order more grease from AoA.

Excellent review Tom. I'll add a photo of my Turbo Charger and Omega 100 cu/ft tank sitting in the corner behind me. Love them both. I did think about the Daystate, but the full auto was just not there. Also the Turbo Charger has a cleaner look in the house, so no complaints from the wife on either the looks or the low noise. I used to have at least a 2 1/2 hr round trip to the dive shop (and had I known I was buying the Turbo Charger so quickly I might have gone with the 12 cu/ft). It's great having a compressor that you just hook to and simply turn on... everything is automatic from there.

Whoever tossed me a + and asked a question about filling...
Thank you!!
And, you can do whatever you'd like with one of these, fill or top off either your supply bottle or your rifle bottle. Personally, I like filling my rifles from a supply bottle and have never filed from a compressor. But, I'd have no problem hooking up to one of these if I wanted to. Just make sure to adjust the cut off pressure!
