Omega Air Compressor Water Level?

Hello and need help,

I've looked around for some mention of what ratio of Purple Ice, anti-freeze and water to add to my Omega when the water level drops down from where it should sit, one inch below the cap. You are supposed to add a mixture of the three - purple ice, anti-freeze, and water, but in what ratio? Does anyone know?

Thanks,

FredSG

Hi airborne,

I guess you can use any standard anti-freeze, but you add Purple Ice to it along with water. Just not sure of the correct ratio as I stated in my OP. I purchased the Purple Ice on Amazon - Royal Purple Ice.

I'm thinking a mixture ratio of 1 ounce Purple Ice to 1 ounce (standard) anti-freeze to 14 ounces tap water for a working solution of 16 ounces.

"Ginuwine1969"How long have you had the unit? if you are just topping it off I would do 1:1 and i thought it was just purple ice and water or anti-freeze and water. I've had my 8 months and haven't had to add anything and have about 24 hours on it.

Just wondering how satisfied you are so far with the Omega? Also which model & from what dealer?
Thank you sir!

Hi Ed,

Three different ingredients - purple ice, (standard) anti-freeze, and tap water in the correct ratio. I'm going with one ounce to one ounce to 14 ounces. There has been no drop in coolant level on my Omega, just want to have the solution on hand if needed.

I have the Omega Super Air Compressor (Omega Pneumatic EX-fill 4500 Air Compressor for PCP and Paint Ball tank filling. Uses 110 circuit, complete self contained. Approximately 75lbs. 20" tall, 19" deep, 9" wide) and purchased it from Precision Airguns and Supplies. I haven't had any problems with it since buying it in June of last year. I purchased a Guppy from Joe B around the same time, and now have one of his Tiger tanks and his Alpha Air Filter.
