And what does your club give out at their monthly matches? Yeah, that’s what I thought…

This club is going to give out a really cool poker chip to those who podium at their monthly matches. You don’t have to wait for a GP to get some personalized recognition for effort and time spent. Nope, here you will get something to show all your friends you were awesome at the match!

Uj, although I'm not a "member", I've shot with them since their FT inception. From my perspective, what they're doing and what they've done so far is somewhat unique but if I had to pick one thing, I'd have to say shooter involvement. They work as a team to make the match experience as much fun as possible for everyone.

The facilities they have are ideal for shooting FT as it is shared with the archery club located in a wind sheltered wooded area.

When they decided to start an FT group, they were already shooting indoor bench so they had an established group of shooters who were excited and receptive to another facet of air guns. The shooters themselves go all in when it comes time to do maintenance and set up. It's not just one or two that do all the work albeit it may seem like that to those who do the lion's share of the work.

The matches are a mix of challenging and easy shots so the casual shooter can do well enough to feel good about their scores.

To a certain degree, I don't think you can measure success of a club by the number of shooters that show up at matches. I think it's by the amount of fun those shooters have. The OKC club hasn't reached their apogee yet. Far from it. As they go forward with their XFT efforts, you will see more great things from the Oklahoma City Air Gun Club.
