Ok guys - best bipod for a Red Wolf?

I have a new Daystate Red Wolf Hi Power .22 just released for shipment after Ken Hicks completed tuning, set-up, and installing a picatinny rail under the forearm to facilitate the mounting of a bipod.

On my RAW LRT, I have an Accutec but is seems to be too massive and heavy for the racy RW.

It needs to have a forward, center, and aft leg adjustment plus side to side cant adjustment.

I would appreciate your recommendations for review. Thanks

DZ

I have a standard power Red Wolf, and installed a simple stud and use a Harris bipod. I was just too lazy to do the rail, because the space is tight if you're working with hand tools. But, on my RAW, I use an Atlas bipod that has the features you want. It's beefy but, face it, the RW, especially the HP, is no lightweight sporter, so I think it would be a good match. I find I don't often use the added adjustability of the Atlas. I've been using Harris bipods for many years on my varmint rifles, and sporter style rifles when shot from the bench. It holds the rifle securely, and that's about all I need.

Which one indeed! LOL!

You didn't mention which accu-tac you had so, I'm assuming it's the FC-G2. Have you considered the BR4-G2? It's not as wide as the FC-G2 but, has adjustable height legs and cant adjustment Low,right in the picture.

Other than that, I'd point you towards an Atlas v8 or PSR (minor differences) or the new CAL which is a little wider than the standard models and quite nice!

I'd take a look at the EvoPod by evolution bipods too. I have various Atlas and AccuTac bipods and find myself using the Evolution bipod more than the others combined. Unless I'm on the bench, then I prefer the Atlas 5H.

The Evolution bipod is lightweight, built like a tank, is fully adjustable and always works like it's supposed to. You can also buy and switch out longer legs to use while sitting or standing. It's expensive, but if we're talking Atlas and Accu Tac, this is in the same range. It's well worth it. Stoti
