Not to replace the D54 but in addition. I can't believe how much I like the D54. So I want a 22 cal D56 now.

Yep! Got a 56 in .177 and it ain’t for sale. I will say the length of the trigger pull is longer than on the 54. Not necessarily bad, just different.

I had owned them both and IMO the 56 is not as pleasant to shoulder and shoot and found it a bit awkward to cock but maybe its just me but I must say off of a bench they would rival many PCPs at long distances.

I have the 54 in .22 shooting at @ 23 fpe. I would sure like to try a de-tuned 54/56 in .177! I Really dig the looks of the 56 stock and it appears that they can be purchased at Pyramyd...but they Ain't cheap!

Had 2 56TH's go through me. Nicer looking stocks but I can't say I care about how nice something looks. I want accuracy, build quality, dependability, ability to shoot any decent pellets with slight zeroing. A tuned 54 is all I could hope for. Again, I agree the stock is a much finer looking design. I don't have the specs but I remember the 56's seeming heavier.
I'm actually very content with a plain Jane 48, and I definitely miss my tuned 54 .22 I said it last night, I'd trade 3 PCPs a tank & the Hill for one or 2 good spring guns at this point.

AoA has a used 25 cal 56 but it costs more than I want to pay for one. If it's not sold in the next 2 weeks I might try to negotiate with them if they are willing. I would rather have a 22 than 25 though.
