Thanks, Joe, and just got done putting everything away. For the 30 cal I was able to use the FX chronograph while I target shot, but the notes I’m about to show were based of the chronograph readings off of my Competition Electronics chronograph. I chose to mount the long ER extension up front, behind the fill probe end cap. Ernest had told me one could choose wether to mount it towards the rear, or up front if they want to increase shot count. I was already pushing 945 with the 30 caliber Bortex 44.75 grainers, and rather than dismantle the entire gun, re sight, I decided against that and mount it up front. Getting lazy, I guess, ha ha!
Anyway, I was surprised at the results. I only gained two more shots, but my power increased enough to put me in the 90 ft lb club, which I don’t believe there are a lot of those in the wildcat groupings, and certainly not with a 44.75 grain pellet. I’m now at 953 FPS average, for 20 shots. Left the reg pressure alone and hammer spring adjustment alone, as I did with my 25 cal. As far as accuracy, this gun blows away my 25 cal. A better shooter than me could’ve placed all the shots right on the bullseye. And this is the gun that cuts up the playing cards.
Target set up was still out to 55,5 yards-
Dont pay attention to the shot count on my iPhone. Every time I set up for target shooting I shoot tethered to my tank, that why it shows a higher shot count than what my notes say. Lastly, I forgot to change out the pellet weight settings from when I first tried using it when I got the fix chronograph for Father’s Day, I was using the JSB 33.95’s on my 25 cal WC to test it.
Just an FYI, when I first got my gun in March of 2018, it was bone stock and the seller only had it for two months before selling it to me to buy an Impact instead. It came with the factory tune of 845 FPS, and max shot count at that speed was 28 to 29 if I got lucky. I’m just short of that by 8 shots, but making way more power than it came stock. Gotta love that!
