Oh No...

Doing chrony work, in Feb, snow on the ground, spotlight on the target (beyond anything that would interfere with the chrony lights)…. I would close the window to let the heater catch up in my shop, I think I forgot to open it once.... Replacement is on this summers to-do list.... Luckily, it's my shop window looking through the garage, wife just laughed. She breaks more of my stuff than I do....

Pic is from 5 min ago, not the situation that led to it.... Pardon all the reflection...

Years ago when I was with the local PD we got a prowler call when we arrived my partner grabbed the shotgun and went around the back of house while I went to the front of house. After we cleared grounds and house we returned to the car and cleared the call. As I was driving back to station I asked my partner if he cleared the shotgun before putting back in rack. He said yes and reached over and depressed the trigger. There was a really big boom and a hole in the roof of the car. There was hell to pay when we got back to the station.

The part that really hurt the car was 2 days in service. The officer that pulled the trigger never told us how much it cost to repair the car. The Chief made him pay for all repairs and made him spend 18 hours on the range working on his gun safety.

I can laugh now but at the time it wasn't very funny. We have to really think safety when around firearms including Air guns .

Funny you should mention that! Finished that railing the day before. Rabbit in site, railing jumped up and blocked my shot. (2.5” scope to barrel. Ha!)
