Oh My, My BSA R10 just came

Oh my gosh.... My BSA R10 .22 just arrived.
I took off from work and waited all day.. just like a little kid waiting for xmas morning...
Never got here until 7pm.... talk about nerve racking...

I never held or even seen a pellet rifle that cost over a grand.... let alone own one.

But I was very pleasantly surprised.... the black wrap stock is wonderful and good looking to boot.
It has a very soft feel .... rubberize like. Looks like it can take the rainy days for sure...

Now I am shocked the air tank on the gun is much small than images online make it look I thought the tank was much larger.
I brought it up to my shoulder and oh my gosh.... I was in heaven Never have I had a gun come up to shoulder so well..
So well balanced ... I know without shooting it.... this will be my first choice when I pick one of my guns to hunt with.

I sorted pellets all day while waiting.... with the pelletgages I purchased.
I will get up early and shoot the gun...

Sorry for sounding like a spoiled kid.... but getting a new quality gun is very exciting indeed...

Nope. I will say nope until there is a picture of the rifle posted.

If you read the 4th rule of this forum, it states. "Any and all new items bought, or produced must be accompanied by at least one photograph if you wish to stay in good favor with the members of said fourm".

I said nope good sir.
Edit: update. If you are unable to post a picture I am willing to have you ship the rifle to me and I can photograph it for you.

I will get a picture and soon.
I took it out for it first shots... 5 shoots to sight in scope
The other 8 were all in less than a 1/2 group at 25 yards...without even trying .... just pulled shots fast.
Had to rush because it was getting dark....could not wait.... oh my did I get a rifle that fits me...
I love the darn thing.... I guess you do get what you pay for....

Congrats on your new gun!

I've noticed the BSAs, but haven't done any research until now. Your choice of the R10 inspired me to check it out, and I think I'm in love.

I'm reading and hearing it's pellet-stacking accurate, and has enough high end features to make most gunners happy. And,,, it's beautiful to boot! I love the fat floating barrel look, the beefy bolt, the swiveling trigger, and that walnut stock rivals guns costing twice as much. I think you have a LOT of gun for the money there.

Congratulations Dan! Welcome to the dark side. Lol. Just wait until you start to shoot it more. My groups started the same as yours and continued to get smaller and smaller as you lead up the barrel. You could very easily see them get smaller from group to group. Question for you, is your stock ambidextrous? I got to handle the camp stock one yesterday and to my surprised, it was.

Have fun shooting. I probably would have taken today off just for that.

Craig

Yes the gun is ambidextrous...
I shot this morning and the winner of the pellets are Crossman premieres.. and discovery pellets , with Jsb not far behind
I am alread shooting 1/2 groups at 40 yards at will..... Oh my gosh... I would never had believed , never...
at 40 yards there is only less than one half mildot change...from 25 yards... I am totally impressed ... Trigger pull out of box could be better.. but doable...

this is a ten shot group at 30 yards using a sandbag.....

Seems to be very high quality... I real like it a lot.
Had my doubts when ordering.... almost feels soft rubber but .. I will make sure my next gun has wrap like this...
It will make a good woods gun.... for all the bumping around it will get...... I have not gotten around to adjust trigger..
I have shot so much... I am getting a smaller blister on cocking finger...

I did try a silencer on it... all I had was a 25 cal.... silencer.... what a difference......makes it really silent...Does make rifle have different point of impact.
But once scope is ajusted the gun got better groupings at 40 yards....

I am one happy camper... I really am excited about this gun...
