(Nova freedom ) what would they change to reduce the max Powertrain 12ft for uk

hi guys

I’m trying to get my head round this gun , over here in the U.K. our limit is 12ftlb and my new nova freedom is maxing out at 10.8 so I’m trying to get it to 11.4 which should have been easy to do with the hammer turnt in but it’s not the case , I find I get my maximum power of 10.5 ftlb when I actually turn it all the way in then back out a turn hand a half but it’s just not Enough.

Ive also I found the Max power readings are when filling to 3500 -3000 then it begins to fall off!

so I’m wondering does anyone know what could be restricting this rifle? I’ve had a look at the turn knob which has two TP holes , I blocked the smaller holes and enlarged very slightly the larger one to match the barrel TP thinking this was it and it would work out higher but max power is exacty the same I was wondering wether to try and get at the valve spring next to reduce the strength of that ??? ......or make the hammer heavier with some metal washers up front to hold the valve open longer ??? ..... it large down the front of the hammer to increase the stroke as well as making it heavier????

Any thoughts or knowledge really appreaciated !

many thanks

Hi ,

when you say valve throat do you mean the the hole that the air would exit the valve which then goes into the TP and into the TP of the barrel? Unfortunately I’ve not been able to get in there all the way to see yet as my silver tube that the last tiny seal rides in seems to be locktighted in and I’m in process of putting some heat on and retrying.

Thanks for the advice regarding the power rising in the different temps but you need not worry I’m very aware of this and always adjust my competition setups according to weather change and pellet weight which is why I’m always Chronographing my rifles just need to be able to adjust this a tad higher to get the right competition set up as we have allot of wind down here and it gives you a half inch advantage being at 11.4 compared to 10.5 whilst keeping it very safe .
