No video or pics...just my first long distance connection on a tiny target.

Picked up an ATN 5-20 4K pro and BT rangefinder to put on my .25 FX Impact. Been spending the last two weeks tuning the Impact in while learning and using more features of the scope. Last week I got the Impact tuned with JSB 34 gr. at 980 fps and the numbers plugged into the scopes built in ballistic calculator. Zero’d at the length of my backyard range...43 yards. I moved inside that range and was hitting perfectly.

The last couple days I got to test it on pests. My wife was really surprised when she saw me pick one off at 60 yards. I was feeling more confident.

Today a pest bird, about 20 yards out, took off and landed in a tree that ranged to 104 yards. There was a slight left to right breeze. The auto range compensation recentered the crosshairs automatically and I held about an inch to the left to counter for the breeze. Crack...plop. It is a little strange to be too far away to hear the pellet smack home.

I’m super pleased with this combination and look forward to helping the local farmers with their pigeon problems...after the COVID apocalypse.

Great to read! I don’t need videos to believe it happened so don’t feel bad.

I would like to hear about your BDC scope that works with the pellets though. I’ve been looking at the ATN line. I want a day/night scope for my last PCP. A .257 John Bowman Scandalous.

With StrelokPro & ChairGun Pro I’ve made hits on targets to 300 yards on first try with 30 grain Griffin .22 RBT’s from a new Condor. I’ve got a FANG .25 no choke I never put on to try yet. The .22 shoots so good I’m not sure I wanna try it on or get new Condor for it.

Whacked a big Crow once at 110 LOS atop a telephone pole on hill, higher than the house. With a 13.43 grain JSB Monster from my Discovery. Solid center chest. DOA, tumbled end over end straight down.

A hit on flesh or body cavity will be a distinctive pop. You can always tell that sound. Targets aren’t too hard. Moving animals that change the distances are hard. My longest so far is a Crow at 203 yards. That surprised me so I know your excitement. Thanks & welcome!!

I've been using the G1 profile for the ATN because it doesn't have a GA. I haven't doped it out to see if I need to compensate yet. My plan is to use slugs long distance eventually.

Here is a post from someone else.
