No pass for these guys, population is ticking back up since I ignored them

Both shot off hand out creeping around in the woods with Penny, the long shot was 32 yards. Rifle is the Sheridan CO2 blue Streak, it is awesome. Penny found both, and actually brought one of them back to me, that’s a first.

What’s the point with your title?

I thought I clicked into the hunting section.

I was just screwing around a bit. The company I work for is headquartered in Florida, there is constant banter Because let’s face it, Florida is somewhat of an unusual place. And just like my chipmunk 🐿 population, Covid is rapidly going up in Florida.

It was definitely not an attack, or put down.

30 hospitalizations per 100000 for the unvaxed. That is a 0.0003 hospitalization rate. The smart money is on naturally acquired immunity. Ninety nine point nine seven percent of the infected clear the infection without hospitalization.

The hospitalization rate PER CDC of influenza is 0.012. Ninety eight point two percent of people infected clear the infection without hospitalization.

The hospitalization rate for influenza is forty times as great as for WuHan virus.

Those are all good statistics. I have no arguments with any of them.

our healthcare workers have been through hell, right here on earth. Can you imagine the terror of walking into those patients rooms during the first 6 to 9 months of Covid? When we really knew nothing. Running out of protective gear, and having to reuse it. Watching patients die and not knowing why. Watching some of your friends get it who you work with, and die. And having to go into the next patient’s room, the very next day.

then, at the end of your shift, you get to go home and pollute your family. I know one mom who didn’t go home for three months, she was a nurse with kids.

Can you imagine being in environmental services during Covid, and your job is to somehow clean the hospital rooms. We now know it’s easy to kill Covid, at the beginning we had no idea. Do you remember the pictures of the Chinese military going down the street spraying anti-bacterial chemicals, in full protective gear?

Everyone has a different perspective.

Our healthcare workers have had it the worst. I can’t imagine what the PSTD is going to be like in a few years in that profession. My hat is off to everyone who helped take care of this, and are still doing so.

just this week I was meeting with caregivers in the Windy City. They are absolutely exhausted. For them it’s getting worse again.

Would we have better been better off Just exposing ourselves all at once, and letting the chips fall where they may? Who knows. We are where we are, what’s next?

I will gladly remove the word Florida from the top of my post. Let’s not debate Covid here. It’s a horrible disease, which we responded to horribly. It’s totally unprecedented. And it’s not over.

I’m fully vaccinated and I’m no longer afraid of it. I do believe if I had contracted Covid early before the vaccine, it would’ve been a bad scene for me.

Flint YOU brought up covid in your subject line. I had two choices. Report the subject line as a violation of the rules or give you a dose of reality. Next time I will simply report the rule violation.

Didn't name the topic. Didn't ask the op to change the name. Didn't bring up WuHan virus. Talk with the OP about being political.

Let's get this back on topic. I'm a little ways south of you but we got some rain today and everything finally turned green again. The weather this year sure has made the animals act strange. I've seen more red squirrels, chipmunks and ground squirrels this summer than I have in probably twenty years.

Aye, here the squirrels have been far less numerous than other years. The fruit trees are breaking off limbs they are so full. There are more Groundhogs than I've seen in years and more rabbits. It's been one of the seven fat years. Next year may be interesting.

I would love to see what it looks like, a branch so heavy with fruit that it destroys itself? Is that something you can snap a picture of?

I didn't even notice that fine rifle until just now. What a nice example!

I do have a soft heart for retrievers. That looks like it might be a Portuguese water dog? Anyway fine dog as well. Nothing like watching a retriever work, well done.

I will get pictures tomorrow and put them here for you, sir. We had one branch on the Asian pear break off about five weeks ago. I took half a bushel off that branch alone and they were half size at that point. We have probably taken two hundred pounds off that little tree this year. I have been eating two to as many as several every day for three or four weeks now. Take them right off the tree. My favorite tree fruit. If you would like some seeds PM me your address. They should do well up north. The Asian pears are only just finishing up now but the other tree is in the same state.

Have a great day.
