NRL22 air rifle

Went out and shot with the NLR22 group today. Had a great time, great bunch of guys and VERY helpful. I was the only air gunner out there today, as I was the one nominated to check it out. Very much like RMAC precision course, just not as many stations. Great practice. Had a few people looking at my Impact a little strange, but a few shot it and said Hummm. Pretty good day.

Has anyone else joined and started shooting ?

My local NRL22 match got cancelled, it would have been today, darnit!

Eventually I'll try it with my FX Impact 25 cal. My Anschutz 22rf is slightly more accurate and has way less wind drift but I bet I will still finish towards the top of the standings with the Impact.

Not going to drive down to Phoenix when it's 115 degrees high, lol, maybe next winter.

Having only heard of NRL22 competition this week, there's now talk about my local shooting club starting monthly competitions; and it seems pretty imminent. Must have been around for a while, as I understand there is a governing body, and even awards. Considering most shooting competitions I do award only braggin' rights, I'm looking forward to NRL22. Problem with braggin' rights is everybody now thinks I'm a braggart. Correction- everybody now knows I'm a braggart.

The club I’m shooting at shoots twice a month, once on Saturday and a few weeks later on Sunday, so everyone has a chance.

I’m not sure about awards or bragging rights, I just like to shoot and the NLR22 adds a little competition and excitement. Being timed to get ten rounds off at the different yardage will get your blood pumping. Plus getting to know a few more shooters and possibly turn them to the PCP dark side. 😁

Still like the sound of a pigeon getting smacked better than steel, but hey practice is practice.

offered a PB’r gun store owner to shoot the Impact, he jumped at the chance. Loaded up ten pellets in the 30 cal, and when he was done he sure was smiling.
