Hey guys. I had a good search but can't find any related chats on here. I have access to lower pressure scuba compressor here but have to pump the rest of the way up by hand. I'm a fair way from the coast here and high pressure nitrogen is more readily available than compressors. Can nitrogen be safely used in the Impacts? Will it affect settings/velocities etc. at all? I'm kind of filling in time until I get more mates involved in the sport so we can share a good quality 4500psi compressor. They'll come around. ?

Nitrogen is good for PCP's. It's totally dry, so you don't have to worry about moisture at all.

Yes we use them up in Canada. No problems. Contact Joe Brancato at Airtanksforsale and he will provide you with the complete setup that you will need for your nitrogen tank. All he requires is a code number for the type of tank and pressure and that you get from the vendor that supplies the tank.

Thanks sltech. I'm down in OZ so I'll see what he can do compared to a local supplier. Cheers

I guess we often forget – air is a mixture of gasses and oxygen is just a small part of that, 21% to be exact, the biggest part of breathing air is Nitrogen – 78%. It will not change any settings or harm your airgun

Another advantage that nitrogen has over using air is that it is more stable than air, to pressure changes at different temperatures. That is why it is sometimes used in tyres.
