Nitro Piston Air Rifles

What is the color of the oil used in a nitro piston rifle, if any? I haven't researched the internal operation of a nitro piston. I have been recently shooting one of my Gamos, and I notice a red oil at the breech end after shooting, could I have blown the piston or a seal? If I have, I will be asking soon how to replace the nitro piston. I would assume it's not as difficult or dangerous as replacing a break barrel spring, I hope!!!!!!!

Teardown is the same proceedure as a spring piston gun. Not dangerous at all UNLESS you are trying to do it without the proper tools.

Any loss of power?

If the gas ram was leaking I wouldn't think you'd have fluid showing up at the breech. More likely around the trigger. I dunno though.

did you take the stock off look at the under side of the tube
