Ninja EZ 4500 fill valve

Any one having trouble with their EZ fill valve? I have one installed on a small 70 ci 4500 Ninja bottle. I use it for a field carry filler. Lately it has been acting up and not releasing air when the valve knob is tightened. Last night it quit completly. Couldn’t take it apart as it had about 4200 psi in it. After playing with the valve, turning it on and off for about a 1/2 hour, it started letting just a little out the hose. I let it bleed down for about an hour before it was empty. The valve is very easy to disassemble. After removing a small grub screw and then the top of the valve, there is a large silver nut that has a long pin under it. This nut had worked its way loose just enough so the pin could not push the spring and check ball down when the knob was turned. Quick and easy fix. BUT, you might want to take yours apart next time the tank is empty and check the tightness of the Silver nut. Once the tank is full and this issue happens, it might be dangerous to work on it. The valve to tank threads have a v cut into them as a safety factor if you try uncscrewing the valve from a pressurized tank. But I don’t like working on a bomb!
