Ninja airtank wont hold full pressure

I have a friend who has the same problem to 2700 psi. When we first got our 2 Umarex Gauntlets both held 3000psi fills well. First mine failed and would drain to 0 psi. Lately his is pushing the dust cap off until 2700 psi after a fill to 3000. I changed the fill valve in mine and all is well now. You might change your fill valve also.

Found leak. Thought it was from the 2 set screws at valve but after resetting them with a bit of Teflon tape found the leak moved to the seal area. Valve is Ninja with the longer stem for PCP

with a Ninja 68 bottle. Found my seal packet that came with the Ninja rig. I suspect is it one of the green ones. Any special tricks on getting them on without damage? Use a lube, too?

Or can valve be tightened?

a Picture (of the "valve") is worth a 1000 words. Put circles, or arrows directing us to what you are referencing. I get kinda apprehensive trying to instruct some how to fix a leak in a regulator when it's apparent they have never even had it apart, or have little idea of the principal behind the operation of it.

You say "2 set screws" sounds like you are referencing the set screws in the bonnet which stop it from accidentally rotating and coming off. They are under NO pressure themselves.

Not to sound condescending, but HPA is nothing to be fooling around with.

Well, you are wrong. I found the leak with soap bubbles at the set screws. So, fixed those with Teflon tape. Then, the leak moved to the bonnet.

I especially enjoy your condescending tone. Lighten up!

Here's an analogy of your situation. It's raining out, you have water coming thru your ceiling so you patch it and find out now the roof is leaking......................wasn't really the ceiling at all.

Those set screws are straight thread, NOT used for sealing air.

Good Luck
