Nightforce NX8 favorite reticle?

MIL-XT all the way. on my .30 it's only 0 to 3 for 50 yards to 100 yards.

Unless you prefer holding in space or are going to be dialing always I'd recommend the XT

I prefer the MOAR LOL!

I like my Mil-C. It is the first center dot scope I have liked. I had it in the ATACR, so I got it when I got my NX8. I like a less busy reticle so I can see the target better. Always have preferred a crosshair reticle until this one. Still prefer crosshairs in most the other scopes.

Currently looking into this scope for a EVOL .30. MOAR or MIL-XT??? Or? Tis the question. What did you end up going with? Anyone want to jump in on this with additional opinions?

The reticle is very personal. I always tell people it is the most important part of the scope, so YOU have to like it. 

Do you prefer MIL or MOA?

Do you prefer center dot or cross hair? (More important than question 1 honestly)

Do you like a Christmas tree reticle or do you find all those other dots just get in the way of seeing your holes in the paper or splashes?

I think they are very different reticles. Really comes down to your answers for questions 2 & 3. I personally really like the MIL-C as it is the best of both worlds, center dot and less cluttered. Had it in an ATACR and now have it in the NX8.

Only you can make this decisions , what works best for me may not work for you.

Personally I don't like busy reticles so I went with MOAR

I just got the NX8 4-32x50 with the MIL-XT. It is indeed busy. If you don't like the Christmas tree, it will annoy you. But, I replaced the Hawke Sidewinder 6-24x56 FFP, which had a similar reticle, and I was used to it. I like it. My one and only competition so far was the 2019 Pyramyd Air Cup. Wind was crazy, and I liked having reference marks as wind pushed the pellet 3 & 4 mils off center. It is a cluttered view, though, but my gosh, the glass clarity and build quality! I've never seen a scope's focus snap in like this does. As good as a $2500 professional camera lens. And the turrets are everything they say they are. So far, way more money than I should have spent, but you get everything you paid for and then some.

I just received my NX8 2.5-20×50 F1 with the MIL-C reticle this pass Monday. I'm still waiting for a gun to mount it on but so far, it looks good. I like clicking with my scopes so I'm more concerned with the center dot or crosshair. One thing I will say is that it's a little busy in the middle even at 20x. I wish Nightforce would open it up a little. Something similar to this...
