Nightforce 2.5-10x42 Illuminated

@Airgun-hobbyist

Of course. It definitely has the most flexibility of the options on my list. It is one of the reasons I’m less inclined to pic up the NXS. The biggest problem I’m facing is I’m trying to add in that flexibility, but I don’t really need it on the current build. But I really want to try that scope, and it would likely just result in another rifle purchase that better fits the benefits of that scope. I’m trying to be smart on this particular purchase and stick to the real needs, and save some cash and put it towards the next build.

I have purchased from them before. I found them when buying a Golden Eagle. They are on my shortlist of places to check as they are also a supporter of other sites I frequent.

Tried one, nice little scope. However I sent it back, as the illumination was not bright enough to suit me. Actually I should of known better, the only illuminated scopes that are making me happy thee days are those with illuminated dot. these high dollar scopes with illuminated rets, seem to be dimmer than the lower priced ones. I think they are meant to be with night vision or low light conditions and to much illuminations is not good . Not really meant to be daylight bright.

I own an NF 2.5-10x42., I’m a March guy (yes even on my air rifles) but gotta say, none of them can touch this little Nightforce in low light conditions. Running it on a Taipan short

I had a couple March scopes , non illuminated & they were not very good in low light IMO. They were nice crisp & clear. I did notice on the NF, that the eyebox was generous compared to the March 2.5-25 x42 I had. I would of kept the NF if the illuminated ret was brighter. Due to recent eye problem I need very bright illumination. .

I can sympathize with your plight. Have you considered the Vortex Razor? Only 6 magnification and weighty but has a picture window ocular and a fire dot that can be cranked way up.

Yeah those are nice. I would like a little more magnification though. So far I have Found the Hawke Frontier 30, with the Illuminated dot, Optika 6 illuminated dot, & the Delta Titanium with illuminated dot, to have very bright daylight illumination. The Delta is super bright. Of course they are all big and heavy. One of my Athlon Midas has daylight bright ret in the center, but I had a couple others same make & model that were not so. I think maybe the earlier ones may be better for illumination. I away like to try new optics, I am an optic junkie.
