I’ve tested out some of the digital scopes myself also. Have the Sightmark Photon RT Digital Night Vision, which I like a lot for what it is, and also had a sightmark wraith ( mag was too high for me ). Tried also the ATN xsite when they first came out and had nothing but issues, along with a ATN thermal that didn’t work straight out of the box. ATN I won’t even look at anymore, but I didn’t start having really good luck until I went thermal
Currently have a pulsar trail xp38 LRF. Think they may have discontinued this model and only offer it in a Xp50 version. They also have newer versions called the thermion that are shaped like a regular scope instead of the bulkier , boxy looking trail lineup thermals
Digital is good , but there is nothing like thermal. I have mine mounted on a uragan .30 currently but also switch to my .25 impact ( profile pic ) , easy to do with the quick detach mount from pulsar Sweet setup for sure , not cheap, but it’s worth it if your serious about night time hunting. Shot my first yote with the thermal and impact while back. It’s amazing the critters you see in the dark with a thermal, first time using one I was giggling watching field mice in my field bounce and crawl around from weeds to the brush in the middle of the night 40 yrds out , let’s just say you can see a lot of things flying when hit with a .30 lol
Lots of choices out there, but I’d highly look at thermal also. I really like the pulsar units ,they can record and also have a app you download and can stream and transfer your vids to share really easy. Also pulsar Has excellent customer support and stand behind what they make. I believe they have a few units around the 2 grand mark last time I checked. There are also some other brands around there and not too much more than that.
Good luck with whatever you choose and let us know how it goes.
