Nielsen Specialty Ammo-BEWARE!!!

I have placed several orders with Nick at Nielsen Specialty Ammo. The last order I place was for verbal 400 slugs. Regretfully, the package was mis-deliverd by the Post office and they could not retrieve it. I reached out to Nick with the USPS Case Confirmation and explained the situation. He took the stance that it was delivered and not his problem. I again explained that it was lost and to contact USPS with the case number to file a claim. He stopped communication with me and I'm out the money and no slugs.

Mmm no.

His last order a few weeks before this the customer said half his order was missing in his package. Since we make this ammo to order it is highly unlikely but we took him at his word and immediately made up the order and sent to him.

Then he places a new order. He says he did not receive it even though the post office says it was delivered in his mailbox. I asked him to ask someone in the family if perhaps they brought it in without him knowing. Also, ask a neighbor if maybe they had put in their box by mistake. He said no it did not get delivered. Adamant on making a claim. Needed it right now, could not wait, said he was "out of patience". This is just a few hours since I started to work on this.

He then made a claim to the post office. I read his email this morning and at 6am Pacific time I called the post office to look into it. The post office said they need time to investigate the claim and give a few days for them to look into it. I relayed this to this customer. Like always, giving good communication with the customer but I can not make things others are in control of happen in minutes. There is even more about his erratic and fishy behavior but I only have so much time devote to this.

His bizarre behavior made me very suspicious of him especially when this is the second order in a row (few weeks apart) to have weird circumstances. Here is the response I got he said the post office told him:

No. It was not stolen from my mailbox. The local post office had said my regular mail carrier was away and a new carrier delivered to a wrong address.

They said they think they identified the address but that the house is strange with disturbed occupants and don’t think they can get it.(???).

Do you think this is what the post office would tell someone, even if true, which I think nobody in the world reading this believes? I think not. Next thing I know, hours after I started working with the post office to find out what happen to his package, even though I think it is a scam, he opens a Paypal dispute. One minute later, he escalates the claim so Paypal will make a rapid determination to the claim.

I gave Paypal the shipping notice and all the details. Shortly there after Paypal decided the claim in my favor. If any of you sellers deal with Paypal you know they seldom side with the seller. That tells you a lot right there.

Nielsen Specialty Ammo - BEWARE of people like this.

MMM.Yes.

If you took the time to read my email the carrier delivered the package to the wrong address. They wanted three days to investigate which they did. I even provided you with the post master's name at my local post office as she was the one who closed the case as they could not retrieve the package from the home it was delivered to. Did you even bother to contact them? All I had asked was that you file a claim for the 400 slugs I'd ordered. I'd placed a couple of orders with you previously. There were no issues. Why would I scam you??

All you had to do is file a claim with the USPS Case Confirmation number which you chose not to do. Leaving me as a customer with no recourse. I did not receive my order and you weren't decent enough to file a claim which I cannot do as you are the seller and shipper.

I have contacted my bank with a Merchant Dispute and will be also contacting the Better Business Bureau and ic3.gov on your unethical business practices.

I don't think either party is trying to harm the other. It looks like mmoscarma was aggravated at his situation and Neilsenammo took offense to something in the correspondence.

I've been in plenty of situations where my anger just made things worse. I recommend talking to each other nicely on the phone and I'm sure it will go better.

Have a happy Independence day.

Best wishes

James

Talked with Nick to place one order, and everything went great. I then meet Nick at RMAC. I hung out the first day, and had a cool time, talked about this and that.

Day two I saw him he was busy taking care of biz, but still really helpful to me. He made it possible for me to shoot a large bore air rifle and then shoot a full-auto rifle. The screaming fun gun might I add.

Day three was just another "howdy" meeting. Now we aren't new best friends or anything, and he may not even remember? However, I feel I would feel wrong by not saying Nick came across as a very stand-up guy, and he did not give the impression of anything less!

Respectivly,

Eamon

Have always had better-than-expected service with NSA and then some. That being said, I have also been a peckerhead in the past and jumped to conclusions with people/vendors by not allowing them to fix an issue when there was one. Turned out that I was a jerk and I've since learned my lesson by not running my pie hole and making myself look foolish. It's called acting like a civilized adult and growing up. I've had to eat crow and apologize more than once for my mouth and with age the occurrence is thankfully less and less.

Let's be clear...as inconvenient and annoying as it may be, there is no such thing as an 'airgun emergency' unless you shoot yourself.

You may indeed have had an issue, but NSA's service speaks for itself. Your argumentative nature and willingness to 'make an example' of a great business doesn't help your case. You would be much better suited to not make threats, not throw a good vendor under the bus, and deal with things like a grownup. Sorry to be blunt, but it's a chicken-bleep move to go crying on a web site about a business like that.

Lester purchased .300 ammo. We do not make ammo for a specific rifle. We make ammo and have the size indicated on the site what it is. I have explained to him that 30 caliber can be .300/.308 and anything in between. He does not understand about airguns/ammo which is fine but we clearly state that all ammo sales are final at the top of every webpage on our site. We simply enforced our company policy, nothing less - nothing more.

As far as MM being listed I have no reason to. For one, I am in America and list commonly used American specs. If you want to know the MM divide it 25.4 and you get MM. Simple internet search would give you that. His gun says 7.62mm (see pic below from a picture he provided). Divide that by 25.4 and you get .300 which is what he purchased. Or put in search engine "convert 7.62mm to inches" and it will give you the answer.

The reason I do not not have my phone number posted is I need to use email to communicate. As most of you know we are a small family business and I personally answer all the technical questions. We have 10s of thousand of customers and there is no way I can be on the phone to answer all the technical questions I answer every day. Plus I run machinery which I have to turn off to be on the phone in order to hear. It is just not practical for me to communicate by phone. I can answer emails while I run machines and can answer multiple emails shorter than one phone call.

To address his "We were taught respect of people and guns" he states in his opening paragraph let me share some blips of this customer.

Email to me:

"Nick is a REAL DICK!!!!! Glad I don't live near Labadie, Missouri 63055!!!!!! You and me would need to meet for coffee you ****in SCUMBAGE MOTHER ****ING ASSWIPE poopHOLE!!!!"

What he told the Missouri Attorney General:

"That fat sob needs to be more appreciative of all the hundred thousand customers! Oh, maybe

that's why he doesn't give a Sh-t!!"

This is guy who needs a 72 hour hold.

No, he should be banned from owning a slingshot. He obviously has anger issues. We all know you can't hear the phone with machines running, we all know there are zero standards for airgun ammo (no SAAMI specs), there is no guarantee whether any pellet and especially not a slug that will shoot well out of a given gun, and the last couple years have made clear the issues with shipping carriers. I urge you and others to hide this member, report him to the forum moderators if he keeps this garbage up, and continue being successful.

Is really a shame reading something like this...that's why he sell samples..because every manufacturer has it own 7.62 version twist rate etc .. is impossible for nick to have a slug designed for every 7.62 barrel aviable ... if you have not seen in the forums people talking about shooting slugs for that model of hatsan gun ..them you should not have purchased .only in really powerful hatsan slugs could be tried..n even like that maybe.that particular shoke does not like slugs.. if there is no samples of the weight I want to try I simply don't purchased anything until I could tested my self.. so if I purchase them n they don't work on my gun .. could I blame him.. really...n you really think somebody will support you claim... jsb knockouts 34g were not available anywhere so I purchased from a member 20 tins .. so if they didn't work now I could insult him..because I couldn't wait to test one tin n now I have 20.. there is nowhere in his web page that says it will work on hatsan guns because he can't assure that... is our diligence to slug our barrel in order to know the diameter needed for a better chance of success...unless is a popular gun n every one is shooting slugs so there is a lot if information of what that gun likes ..

If I order slugs from any manufacturer..n he does everything right..my address etc .. n the carrier simply lost my package.. or half is clearly stolen by carrier employees..how in the world could I blame my vendor.. n tell him that now he has to send me my order again..really like really..some people have real head problems...I have packages lost. Carrier employees don't give a crap ..my solution a PO Box..now the packages go to the mail box n don't move..have not lost a package since..
