Newer (2015-2017) Marauder .22 Barrels and Accuracy

Two months ago a buddy of mine bought a new Gen 2 .22 (and I bought a .177 for local FT matches). We took his straight from the box, mounted a 4-16 BSA scope, shot a variety of pellets JSB 15.89, JSB 18.1, CP from the tin, several H&N in all weights and head sizes out to 40 yards and it 10-shot grouped the JSB 15.89 ever so slightly better (sub 1") than the rest. At 25 yards I don't recall any differences in all of them really.
I don't recall what the shot string or velocity was, (I think 30 shots with a SD of 9??) I do recall it was making about 27fpe and I can ask him and I think I can get pics of the groups if you want them.

In summary it performed better than I expected, (FWIW) wasn't really pellet picky, good shot count with power to pest and small game. 
If i didn't already have a Gen 1, I'd get a Gen 2 :)

Great info and pics not necessary. I'd probably tune it down to 825 fps or so and go for max accuracy.

I've seen that and they will offer the LW barrels on it as an option in January 2018. 

The thing is, it will be probably over $775 for regulated with the LW barrel. Is that competitive? With the release of the Gauntlet, I'm just wondering how long they will be able to charge a premium like that from the Custom Shop while other manufacturers move to more affordable regulated offerings. 

Should be interesting.
