Newbie Needing Some Advice On Choosing A Top Shelf .25 Bullpup

Another recommendation for the EDgun R5M Standard or Long in .22 or .25cal. For harder hitting, stick with the Long version. As far as quietness goes, the factory moderator on the R5M is really all you need. You could purchase the Bat moderator if an additional drop in decibels is needed and the overall length added is only 2 inches. For an EDgun distributor in the U.S., check out Brian at EDgun West. Fast shipping, excellent customer service.

I know you started out talking about bullpups and then also mentioned a RAW. My son has a HM1000x we just put in a chassis, It is super comfortable and as accurate as they come. The .25 shoots the 33.95 King Heavies like a laser beam at 920fps and various slugs, especially the NSA 33.5, VK 32.8 and FX Hybrids super accurately too. It is super reliable, built like a tank, guaranteed to shoot sub moa at 100yds and has an awesome trigger. It should definitely be in the running!

Ok, i’ve decided to get the EDgun R5M. After viewing a few of AEAC’s Youtube videos of this rifle, and watching the inventor of the EDgun run over the R5M four times with his SUV, it was a no brainer for me. And this guns DNA bears resemblance to my personal favorite gun. Not to mention, i’m part Russian ancestry from my mother’s side and also happen to be a collector of AK’s, from as many different countries of origin that you can possibly get here in the U.S. My most coveted AK’s are my Russians, an SGL-21 and an SGL-31.

Thanks everyone for your contribution to my thread. I just discovered this wonderful forum and feel very welcome here already.

Thanks again AirGunNation!

I bought another 25 RAW HMX1000 (pre Air Force of course many endorse with no remorse from a trusted source) that is an absolute laser beam with JSB 25.39 Kings just one of those things...

I'd throw in the kalibrgun cricket in .25.... Stock gun can make 55 fpe. In addition you could get a power tuned one from Charlie Frear at Georgia airguns. He is away grow the shop for a while, but you could always order a cricket and send to Charlie to tune later.

That's what I've got, and got it tuned by Charlie. I really love it. Perfect fit for me and I like lots of things about it.

It is heavy though, no lie. But it feels lighter than it is by far, just because it's a bullpup. It's surprising what a dramatic difference that makes.

Raccoon problem huh? What’s your address, I’ll head over! 😜

I have an FX Wildcat MK1 in 22 and love it. It’s FXs only “true” bullpup, and the cocking level being up near your hand makes this a great platform. The smooth synthetic stock feels great, as I personally don’t care for wood guns that make me feel like I am holding a 2x4. The Wildcat in wood doesn’t have this feeling, but plenty out there that even look like it was carved out of a 2x4!

Find someone close to you that has a Wildcat and try it, you will fall in love with it!

It’s my favorite PCP without question.
