New Veteran fill probe problem

I'm having problems with the fill probe that came with my Veteran 25 long, it seems is too thick it wont fit in the air tube hole, is anyone else having this problem too? I'm using my .22cal shorty probe to fill the 25cal for now, i sent an email to Utah Airguns asking for help, will see.

Have you looked on the other side opposite where you're trying to insert the probe? Unlike some airguns that use probes, the Taipan Veteran (I think) has one side the probe goes into the other side is smaller... Or maybe Utah Airguns sent you an FX probe? Disregard if you're already aware of this... I like it that the Taipan, Vulcan, and EDgun probes are interchangeable.

Is this the first time you've tried to use the probe? Sometimes if the probe cover isn't adjusted just right, the probe won't fit. I'm guessing you've tried the probe again after using the one for the Shorty? Do you have a micrometer to measure ig and compare it to the shorty probe?

I just moved into a new house my caliper still somewhere in my garage in a box

here are a few pics of the two probes, the one on the left with the black male quick-disconnect came with my shorty,

the one on the right came with 25long, you can see the probe for the 25 long has a slight smaller hole compare to the shorty’s probe.

also there is a small difference on the ends of the probes.

I too have the .25 veteran but it's the standard. I just looked at my fill probe and it looks like the one on the left with a smaller hole and more of an angle on the top. I also have one from donnyfl and it looks like neither but works perfectly. The orings are wider apart and it has no angle on the top.

I just sent the pictures to UA, they can understand the situation better. I think they sent me a different probe! Lol

Sometimes I have insertion problems with the probes on both my WCII and my shorty. It's often caused my not having the opening for the probe exactly set so it's a clear shot through the opening. I occaionally put a small small rub of o-ring lube on the o-rings and that makes it noticeably easier to insert the probe.

did you look on the other side of the air tube? there are 2 holes in the veteran long air tube and one is smaller i know because i did the same thing lol
