New to PCPs. Tank and fill questions.

I'm new to the PCP scene. Just bought the 100 cf bottle from AoA. The dive shops in the my area say they will only fill to 3000 psi. They don't want to stress their compressors. My new Wolverine B Hi Lite wants 3200. I would assume I can't get a complete fill on the rifle from the 3000 psi bottle... Like I said, I am completely new to PCP rifles and equipment. The other question I have is how many fills on the 480 cc bottle can I expect to get from the 100 cf composite bottle?

Use the search feature. This is a popular topic here. Here is a fill calculator you can try. Just plug in your numbers: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/pcp_calc.htm I have my own compressor so I just top off my tank after a session. Very convenient. You will want to fill the tank to 4500 psi. If for example your gun fills to 3200 and your tank is at 3200 also, you will not even get one full charge of your gun. As soon as you start filling the gun your tank will already be under 3200. So it needs to be higher. Nice choice in guns by the way!

Thanks, 30cal. I work in a mine and our rescue team has a compressor and fill station for their bottles on site. I just talked to one of those guys and he will fill the bottle to 4500 for me in the morning. I do want to purchase my own compressor but with the recent purchase of the rifle, the Hawke optics, the bottle and a sleeve of pellets, I am attempting to stop the hemorrhaging of money for a spell. Looks like I'll be ok for a while with this set up at work.
